Did my first case study today!
The person told me I could use excel for the math portion. Is this normal for case studies? I always thoughts you had to do it by hand.

The arithmetic isn't the key to getting the case right...

We just switched to allowing folks to use a calculator / excel for the math portion. It doesn’t really test a candidate’s ability to do the math.

Note: You’ll still be held accountable for typos and such.

I was offered a position through a recruiter and the company is now doing a background check. I haven’t received a written offer letter or started any paperwork.

After receiving the offer I turned down a final interview with another company. I’ve also been invited to another interview with someone else.

I don’t feel comfortable continuously turning down interviews if I don’t have a written offer or started any paperwork. I want to email HR about the process but what should I say?

Bain & Company Has anyone been through an MBB final recently and failed it? What did they say you needed to improve upon / reason they gave for not giving you the offer? What would you have done differently in hindsight? Have a final round coming up next week at Bain, so looking for lessons learned from those that did not make it through. But any MBB final round failure feedback will be very appreciated so myself (and others) can learn from it. Thanks in advance. Bain & Company

Just a heads up: I had an interview with Benet in Jacksonville FL. Totally misleading from description in ziprecruiter (see posting below).
Turns out they want you to push covid tests (free if insured) to anyone and anywhere you can. Basicallyhang out in parking lots. Payment is $20/test. Wasn't anything that they advertised $20-30/hr +commissions/bonus, potential 80k 1st yr).

So I have been offered a job at multinational company as a Data Engg. It was a part of the hiring event, and literally got selected with a VERY VERY SIMPLE technical assessment, and a 45 minute interview.

The pay should within my expectations, but I am unsure about the company and the team.

Just that the process was way too easy so quick. I do not even know the hiring manager.

Has someone been a part of this before? Any suggestions if I should go for it? What should I ask?

Accept offer? Just became a staff 2 in EY Audit and being offered a senior audit position with Cohn Reznick. I still have pending interviews for an associate position in FDD/SAT, but should I accept the senior position if my ultimate goal is to get into FDD/SAT and nothing else pans out? Definitely don't feel ready to take on a senior audit position.. Thanks for your replies!

Received an Amazon inclined recycle outcome in August for L6 technival position. Told I needed to mini loop on another role for placement. For the people who earned the SHRM-CP, did you feel it was worth it? I have an indirect HR position, been applying for more HR focused positions and wondering if this would help. I got the CAPM (certified associate of project management) in December, but that hasn’t really changed things. Would love some opinions before working on another certification!

Have you ever wondered if the questions in the HR/behavioural interviews are considerate for people who are extremely literal? E.g. asking a candidate that the recruiter reached out to “why they want to work for <insert big conglomerate here>”. Well, that would be a very weird question to answer without knowing what position/team the applicant is meant to work on.
