I bought my kid lume. She didn’t like it but it was totally capable of controlling the smell from her feet in climbing shoes- which means it’s darned effective as those things smell like death.
Love Lume. (I know you said no all natural, but I swear this one is different). SC1 - they just came out with a “solid” that behaves a little differently than the creme.
It’s not antiperspirant, but I find I don’t need that as much. I also like Harry’s for combo. It’s a men’s brand (Target) but works well for antiperspirant and the stone scent is a very neutral fresh.
In general I find that keeping different formulas in rotation keeps them all working better.
I recently switched from Certain Dri Clinical to Secret Clinical because the Certain Dri irritates my pits, but they both work really well for me (hopefully the Secret stays that way!), as long as I put them on fresh out of the shower. Just make sure you get the Certain Dri solid because the liquid is like acid fire!
Also I am using the Secret gel one in the squeeze tube thing, I found it works a lot better than the solid which did nothing for me.
I was going to suggest certain dri - I sweat like a HOG and it’s the only thing that works for me. But it does’t sting for me?
Arm and hammer has a no aluminum one that I have used for years! I also like lavanilla, more expensive but I loved it
I second this and love it as well.
The Donna Karan cashmere mist deodorant works. A tip I got from someone and I’m passing it along to you. It’s not cheap but it does last and it really works.
Important to know if you're looking for a antiperspirant, or deodorant. Anything natural will deodorize and not stop the sweat. I use Native, but my husband who is smellier and stinkier really likes Hey Humans from Target. He has sensitive skin too and has had baking soda reactions, and those work well for him!
I love Hey Humans!
I have gone through all the clinical strength deodorants and native, which all worked for a while but then started smelling again. Here’s the secret: you need to tone your pits. I use glycolic acid from the ordinary but you can use stridex pads or whatever. I swear this has helped and I can go back to my preferred deodorant again.

Thanks! Someone else also recommended toner. So I did some research and was sold on the Watermelon Probiotic Underarm Toner from Bella Skin Beauty. It’s pricey, but I’m eager to try it. I placed an order over the weekend.
If that doesn’t work, I’ll try the Glycolic Acid Toner from Mario Basescu.
I’m also planning to use Benzoyl Peroxide soap (like Neutrogena Rapid Clear) in the shower. Heard good things too.
And of course switch up my antiperspirant. Just trying to decide to which one. So many suggestions.
Thanks again. Really appreciate all the tips.
Native!! It's aluminum-free and smells amazing. The only natural deodorant that has worked for me. I used to use Secret Clinical, switched to a men's Old Spice, but love that Native is aluminum-free, and that's what I use now
Lume did’t work for me—I had high hopes, but it actually made my underarm odor worse over a few months, and it’s just likely something with my body chemistry. I did find that Crystal Mineral Deodorant Roll On (it’s liquid in a typical roll-on form), works well, as long as I apply it in the morning and before I go to bed.
Wait yes this literally happened to me too this month. So weird
Been getting ads for this brand, haven’t used tho: https://mycarpe.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=1552042470&utm_content=63732286521&utm_term=%2Bcarpe%20%2Bsweat&gadid=548072775976&gclid=Cj0KCQjwyYKUBhDJARIsAMj9lkFvuF0NUDO-0O9cGMXsMh_pW-F3nkO72bxGaYdi7wN6z7cDWpCiybwaAjWNEALw_wcB
Try Dry Idea roll-on. It’s hypoallergenic so you shouldn’t have any reactions to it and it’s one of the best products I’ve used for deodorant (better than prescription options).
One thing to note - it doesn’t come in flowery scents or anything. Just basic powder scent (part of how it’s hypoallergenic). So don’t expect putting on deodorant to make you smell cleaner/fresher if you’ve gotten sweaty.
I recently discovered a natural deodorant at Walgreens, and I've been evangelizing it to anyone who will listen. It's called Hey Humans (founded by Jada Pinkett Smith) - bad news: I think it has baking soda. If you're willing to give it another go, it's all-natural, cruelty-free, and the packaging is made from recycled paper vs. plastic. The deodorant industry contributes 15 million pounds of plastic waste each year. Good luck!
