I’m a manager at a big 4 (advisory) and I have an MBA from one of the target schools, how can I get into McKinsey/BCG/Bain at a manager level?
Had enough of Big4 consulting. What’s a good industry job for a 3 year experience big 4 consultant?
Left Big 4 to work at a local firm & I don’t like it. Thinking about leaving before busy season to give them time to hire a new person but I’m worried about how I’ll look leaving so quickly. Thoughts?
I’m 37 but only have 7 years of consulting experience. Other 5 years work were in entry level public sector jobs prior to graduate school. Is it too late for me to make partner at a Big 4?
So I got an email from a recruiter at BDO. that got me wondering, is there a difference between big 4 and bdo? just curious, besides paying me more money what could possibly entice me? I am in audit.
I hear that jobs in industry are more boring and slower than Big 4. Please can you give me examples of these type of roles in industry. Thanks
6 years work experience as a Senior Manager at Big 4 with solid project experiences/fast track promotions. 3.6 GPA top 15 school in business. 680 GMAT. Any chance at M7 FT?
Just promoted to senior at a big4. 2 years total exp. I got a recruiter from another big 4 telling me she wants me to come over for 140k! Is this common? Is it bad to bounce?
I am doing the virtual summer internship with a midtier firm. It's just two weeks with a job offer they've already made. I have an internship in the spring with Big 4. Should I accept the midtiers offer or pass on it and hope my spring internship gives me an offer?
For how long do you have to stay with the firm (any big 4) after you get your I-140 (green card application approval) before you can switch jobs?
When big 4 employees go to mid tier and smaller firms, do they stand out among people who have already been at these firms? Or nobody really cares?
Has anyone left big 4 tax for a small regional firm? Was work life balance actually better? Looking to make a move and I'm curious what others have experienced
Ladies - posting in here because I feel like you all are a bit more reasonable with replies. I’m in the third year of my career, first in big 4 consulting. How many years do I need to do this (cont)
LinkedIn "Professional Services and Big 4 have seen average profit margin decrease from 30% in 2006 to 23/22% over last 24 months. So Deloitte announcing £3.4b turnover with profits of £608m ..."
Are the stigmas about each Big 4 true: PWC: most technical but cut-throat EY: the cool kids. People focused. Weak on compensation KPMG: best work-life balance Deloitte: ??

As juniors, how are we supposed to know if the strategy is bad or if we’re just not able to come up with ideas? Does this just come with experience or are there major red flags to look out for? 🤔
Strategy is such a thankess job. My whole team got major praise for a campaign. I wrote the brief and I didn’t even get mentioned. I know I should let it go but I am feeling pretty sad about it 😥
Name a trend you see coming in the next century. I'll go first...commercial space travel (think of the reward points!) 😍
Seems like blockchain is finally on the slope of enlightenment. JPM to test its digital coin in corporate payments. https://goo.gl/M4HshC
Can you start your own company or sit on the board of another (small) company while still at your firm?
My first Real watch purchase. Ulysse Nardin is a fantastic company with a rich history in nautical chronometers. The big date gmt has a gorgeous geometric dial and a unique Gmt complication operated by the plungers on the 9 o’clock side.
Bain and McK-- what are your cross-office/inter-region staffing procedures like? Is it hard to transfer? Hard to work in other geographies? At BCG we are very regional and partners have strong incentives to staff locally... I was taken aback
For those working in house, how much “from scratch” document drafting are you doing vs. reviewing and revising “outside documents”. For example, if your company wants to enter into a joint venture company with another entity, are you drafting the company agreement “from scratch” or is it based on internal forms? Or are you getting outside counsel to do it?
Anyone find up fronts helpful? We commit to stuff no one wants - it impacts our performance, eats up our budgets, and doesn’t “get” us anything besides a discount. Is it just that we don’t do it well?
Thoughts on house bill ? I know it’s DOA. But objectively, is it fair to pass the non controversial stuff and keep the govt functioning ? Or southern border is indeed a high priority national threat
It's not about remembering history. It's about what we, as a collective society, decide to revere.
