I am not looking forward to returning to the office/client site 😢 I just want to work from home forever, but my teammates and clients keep talking about how excited they are to get back to normal soon 😩
Just venting here: I have an autoimmune disease, I am not allowed to WFH, and I work in an office where only about 50% wear masks. 🙃
Any AWS fishies about? Curious about your ops teams. Are you wfh for the foreseeable future or back in the office already?
Tell me working from bed has been normalized by now. I thought that was the line I would never cross with WFH, but I’ve crossed it. Obviously still take meetings from my desk. This shouldn’t be anything to feel guilty about right? EDIT for context - I still live in a small apartment so there are limited options for where to work besides my desk - and sitting in one place all day is VERY draining - feel like this is probably an issue mostly for younger consultants
My girlfriend and I are moving to LA, as she just landed a psychology research position at UCLA. I make $85K annually working fully remote, and she’ll likely make close to $40K annually, putting us at a combined income of $125,000 pre-tax. Are we crazy to think we can afford $3,195/month for an apartment in Santa Monica that we absolutely love? Would you recommend it?
Could someone at Deloitte please share if you can still say remote or are required to go to office? Or any guidance from leadership.
Any recommendations for a portable second monitor? Ideally something that would fit in a carry-on? Since I’m still WFH, I’m taking a week-long trip to visit my sister. We’ll both be working during the week and I’d like to avoid working only from a laptop if I can.
Which NYC big law firms provide solo offices to at least midlevel associates and above that have actual walls (not all glass)? And are not planning to change the layout any time soon given wfh?
Would you go work for a private company that offers a lot of growth opportunities, high salary and 40-45 hour work weeks, but doesn’t allow WFH and is pretty strict on the 8-5?
Seeking FL mid-level strategist for 8 week engagement starting immediately. Please have research experience and at least 3-4 years working in a strategy role. Nice to have: B2B or pharma experience. 100% remote.
Is a role really fully remote if they expect you to fly across the county to the corp headquarters once a quarter? Would you negotiate that expectation if you want a fully remote role?
How is KPMG work from home support?
Background : Tax, A1 just turned A2, at a midwest regional firm, 62. 6k salary Offer : BDO experienced associate, Tax, southeast region 65k +1k sign on bonus I'm trying to counter offer for 67k Reason to switch : Relocation and family. But current firm allow remote permanently. I'm just not sure if I will like permanent remote. So I'm not in a hurry to make a move. Would you take the offer? And why?
Over a year into WFH and people are still leaving their camera on accidentally 😩 y'all put a shirt on, this is so awkward to witness
Am I hurting my career by not going to the office or in-person connectivity events and just continuing to WFH? I’m an A3 (started Fall 2019) so had about 4 months of working in person before COVID happened. I can’t tell if I’m missing out on anything worthwhile in terms of connections built in office/happy hours vs. remote work.
Looking for advice as a new grad Joined a boutique consulting firm after grad and have been here for a few months now. I absolutely hate the job and feel like I'm not learning much. I've interned at other consulting firms during college and really enjoyed my experiences there. I can't tell if it's the virtual environment, company fit, or industry as a whole that's been making me hate the job. Any advice on what to do?
Working from home this week but can't wait to travel again because I'm super excited about my new suitcase...is that sad?
Maybe a strange take but I think that we should be more in touch with our internal bodies. We can send astronauts to the moon and rovers to mars but there’s no easy, portable way to scan our bodies to see what’s going on inside (e.g., a DIY full body xray or MRI). I think this could be the next gen of weighing scales that also show various health metrics, track fitness, etc. It could help with prevention and diagnosis. I guess it’s bad for health providers who make $ today from this. Thoughts?
Not sure if anyone else deals with this, but I feel so inferior compared to my friends at medical school or those who went to Ivy post grads. I went straight to Accenture right after college and while I’m so grateful for having a good job, I just feel like I haven’t done enough and will never realize certain financial goals at the rate I’m going. The problem is I’ve never really been good at setting attainable goals and often get discouraged and feel as though I can never be “the high achiever”
I know this has been posted before but I just need support. I’ve been back from mat leave for two months. I don’t like my job, my motivation to work is gone. I just think I hate this work. I am interviewing at other jobs but nothing is happening. I used to have so much drive to do well - even if I hated a project. Now I’m doing the minimum to just get by. I feel I need to be inspired work wise (hence, looking for a new job), but just kinda depressed and aimless.
Market variances on salary/billing are so dumb. The same work is being done in the Midwest, South, etc. as NYC. Why should the client pay more because of where the lawyer chooses to live?
Ethical question: would you try to negotiate a raise in current job if you know you’re actively looking elsewhere? Context: had an incredibly challenging year with a huge project that completed successfully. Extremely complex tasks and long hours. Got an award for “disruption” but in summary, the role evolved and now I want to ask for market adjustment /as well as merit raise. I also hate what I do at the moment and can’t wait to leave, but might take months. Should I still ask for a raise?
Tsunoda's confirmed for Alpha Tauri. I knew he was short, but read that he is 5'2". Such a bonus for a drive.
In NYC, looking to switch to a new retail bank. Any suggestions? Need a physical store so looking at Chase, WF, etc. Thanks!
I am interested to join TCS Hyderabad. Currently I am working for Cognizant and I have 7 years of experience. Completed my MBA-HR. Can someone please refer me to TCS, as I don't have contacts in TCS.

Looking to buy some disability insurance but since our 'duties' as advisors include sitting in a chair, looking at the computer screen, talking on the phone, how hard is it for us to qualify for DI?
I have an on-site PM interview at google NYC next week. Any advice ? Will it be a whole day? What types of questions: technical / strategy / product design? Are there any COVID policies in the Google NYC offices? Do I wear a mask in the interview?
Have a ton of Aeroplan points saved up. Debating whether to save them for travel or use them for an Apple Watch. Any tips? Is it generally better value to use them for travelling?
I have an interview tomorrow at Walmart for product designer position. I received design challenge 24hrs before the interview time and just now, 12hrs before the interview, received an automated email saying “I am no longer under consideration”??? Idk if I should continue working on the challenge... wtf any advice?
