This surprises me, because I haven’t needed it past my internship. I’ve done several interviews testing the market which I didn’t pursue and switched firms once. Not sure why it matters once you pass the CPA, have experience, and a promotion.
In the interview? No. The HR person before the interview? Yes, if not provided in application / resume.
I was asked by the supervisor of the role for my GPA when I was applying to a manager role. I had five years of experience and was just surprised as I didn’t know the exact number off the top of my head, but knew that it was above a 3.75.

I listed it on my resume. The partner during my internship asked why it was so low (3.2) and I said it was freshman year gen ed classes and said it’s been going up. End of story. Finished with a 3.3. Got the internship. Still work for EY.
If it’s higher, I would list your Major GPA. That would factor out the gen ed classes.
