I live in Sydney, Australia and am looking to move over to NYC in the coming months and get a job as a Strategist (I have ~4 years experience, my Fishbowl profile is out of date). At the moment, are people are getting hired remotely/over Zoom calls etc? And to be clear, I don't mean working remotely, just the hiring process. Normally I'm told its pretty much impossible to get hired if not in NY (And still in Aus.), but I'm thinking now could be my chance. I would need to be sponsored though.

Hello! I was promoted to a TA Ops Specialist and previously was a Recruiting Coordinator for two years. I found a passion for the systems/process side of HR and am eager and excited to continue this path. For anyone on this side of HR, I’d love to hear any career advice you have for pursuing HRIS/Talent Operations. Are there any hot HR systems you think someone should have under their belt? What is your current title/YOE/location/pay? Thanks!
Not sure if y’all have been in a similar situation but I’m staffed on a project that is mindless busy work and I feel like I’m not progressing in my career. Makes me ponder where I went wrong in life sometimes: How did I do a top-tier MBA just to take a step back in my career? My job pre MBA was way more analytically challenging. Not sure if I’m being super negative or are some of these thoughts normal? Is it WFH syndrome? Thoughts on how to cope?
