Request you all to please help me on this.

Yes and yes. I did 4 weeks std before birth (CA based).
Interesting - usually if your gyno sends documentation to std company saying you should stop working, they allow it. Ive been told anecdotally that gynos are usually fine with submitting the paperwork even f you arent high risk. Ill have to call metlife and ask if they provide forms for the gyno to sign or what.
SC1: i talked to metlife today and they said i would just need to call them and tell them i am stopping working & then they will send paperwork to my Dr to fill out. I am taking pto for a few weeks first and then i will ask my Dr if they would sign the papers and then ill call metlife to initiate the process. Hopefully it works out so i dont end up taking much more pto than planned
I think only certain states like CA allow paid std prior to delivery. I live in Texas and I didn’t have the option of paid STD prior to delivery. I only got STD after delivery for 6 weeks.
Yes, 4 weeks before and it was great to disconnect from work and decompress for a few weeks before baby. 4 weeks is provided for everyone (all states) at KPMG though.
Same as D1
OP i just talked to leave team and they said you cannot take STD before delivery. Any luck with you?
