didn’t know where to put this but with the pandemic (and some irresponsible spending) i haven’t been able to pay off my zero interest cc balance as much as i would’ve liked. has anyone had any luck in getting the promotional 0% time period extended? (through any of your banks)

I’m not going to say it’s impossible, but I will point out that people like you are literally the reason they do the 0% offers — they are specifically looking for folks who end up in your situation to pay for the program. That, combined with the fact that you don’t have any leverage, seems to suggest it’s unlikely to work.

You can always apply for another 0% card with no balance transfer, don’t fuck around with the next one though and get it paid off

like

Good luck — I think a lot of banks aren’t giving this particular type of offer right now. Hope you can find another card to shift to...

This is a learning opportunity. Paying the price now will be better for you in the long run because you will learn your lesson (hopefully). An undeserved extension will only enable more poor choices in the future. Good luck

EFA is another trade betting on the economy strengthening. This ticker is developed markets X-US. It is a difficult trade because the longs are much more variable for moves than the greeks would predict, but they even out over time. This morning is a good example with the ticker up barely, but he long down significantly. It is easy to over react and over trade it.
I got in when the election was pretty well sealed and figured Biden would be much better for global trade and global companies.

I just realized I’ll likely have a MAGI of over $124,000 this year and will have to reduce the amount I contribute to my Roth IRA. I don’t know exactly by how much and I’ve already contributed about $1,900 directly through my Roth IRA. Does anyone know if I can still do a backdoor Roth IRA for the remainder of the $6,000? Is there any way to avoid over-contributing to my Roth IRA by the amount I already put in there?

Hi, I been working for Lloyds Bank for almost 9 years now , I recently attended a interview for Barclays and offered an Senior Business Analyst AVP role in Wealth and private banking area. I did not see much difference in the salary offered and it is pretty much same ie 68.5k.But the difference is current role is London based, however the Barclays one is based in Glasgow where cost of living is less in comparison. I am unable to decide whether to take the offer or not..any suggestions will be helpful pls.
