It’s sucks!!! Run away before you get sucked into it. Good benefits. Low pay. Boring work. Sexist toxic environment
Not sure about other offices, but Boston is fun.
@DLBi1 - yea i heard some of the office in the USA has this sexist vibe (actually i scroll thru glassdoor review). Low pay? Like how low? Or if you’re a women- it’s lower?
@DLBi2 thanks! I guess it’s to each their own. I took much time to obeserve and still rooting for it. Asia’s office has the better female ratios on management from what I knew. I was wondering toward, is it fair if you want to advance your career over there? Like does your merit and work matters or it’s more like ‘if you C-level person favourite’ or ‘CD’s referral’ thingy
From personal experience, it depends a lot who your managers are. I’ve seen people move up relatively quickly or get put on cooler projects bc their managers were actively seeking stuff for them. I’m a little salty bc I bounced around w different managers a lot and had less opportunity to form that solid relationship. So, not sure I would use the word “fair” — depends a lot on luck/your team. still possible to find opportunities for yourself on your own, just harder
This was in USA. I don’t know anything about the Asia offices
