Do something for her vs for the baby. Massage, facial, etc.

Doesn't have to be a lot of $$$, some nice candies or other snacks, cozy slippers, etc. I second this idea - this woman is about to push a baby out. Give her a little something!

These have been our daughter’s most consistently used and loved gifts. She is almost 9 and still tucks a bunny in the crook of her arm every night. ❤️

Monica and Andy makes adorable baby stuff. I’d say keep it small, proportionate to how far apart you are in title

I like giving personalized First Christmas ornaments from Lenox. Obviously this would have to be after the birth. I’ve sent for all my great nieces and nephews, over 25 of them, and the families seem to love them.

Tbh anything is great. It’s honestly the thought that counts- only one person from work got me a gift between both my births!

If it is her first, board books are always great. It takes a while to build up a library and she will be happy to have some variety.

I feel like my kids 1st grade teacher is being too strict, but I'm not sure if this is normal or I'm being sensitive because it's my child. E.g. she gave him 2/10 for his math homework because he doodled on the page, colored in the circle that has the page number, didn't draw the word problem neatly, wrote his last name under the name line, and says some of his numbers aren't legible. All his answers were correct, except one where he forgot to fill in the blank. Is this normal? X-posting

Alright moms. 4th kid in daycare and this one just won’t nap. We send a portable white noise machine and she has a lovey. But she apparently has serious FOMO. I’ve asked them to move her to the furthest corner. Then moved her to the younger baby room. But I’m out of ideas. 11 months old (10 mo adjusted). I had chalked it up to just starting at daycare but we are almost 2 months in. She’s a hot mess in the evenings. What magic do you have for me. All of my others fell in a routine by now!

Not nearly enough messages. Was a senior when I had a kid...so nice of KPMG to NOT tell me the way to properly submit for parental leave back in the day.

About to take an offer at EY. Want a baby soon and saw the great news about increased parental leave. Question is, can u use vacation time consecutively with it? Right now most on leave take 5 months

Have been pinged for a possible role as Director of Operations at a promising looking startup with a 50%% pay increase & equity. It looks like an amazing opportunity.. but my husband and I have just started trying for our first kid, and I'm not sure about leaving the stability and benefits of Big 4, even though I feel like I have run out of career growth here. Has anyone changed jobs at a similar point, or worked at a startup as a new mom, that might be able to share perspective or opinions?

Help & suggestions please. I don’t have parents and recently had a kid. I am having trouble in recovery and my daughter is a preemie. I am going back to work in December but can’t send kid to daycare due to health. My aunt who raised me wants to visit and help me out , see places too. With the travel ban going away , can she get a visitor visa so that I have someone reliable in the house along with the new nanny. Are visitor visas possible to get now ? MIL is another option but she is aged.

KPMG folks. I see the mobile expense reimbursement is $65 with an equipment. Is there a breakout between wireless service and equipment or it’s looked at in total? If I’m on a family plan and pay $20, can I get a phone that costs $45 so as to maximize the $65 reimbursement? Thoughts appreciated
