TurboTax for the win. That was fun. 👍🏾
I just received my offer for Microsoft CSAM. No level indicated. Base offer 100,200 with only $10k in stocks. In our initial call, the recruiter stated the range being 115-125. 7 YoE and am a top performer. I can’t help but feel offended at this offer as it is well below the range that THEY set my expectations at, and considering my experience. I’m clearly being lowballed. Any advice? Salary negotiation tips? I was so excited to hear I’m getting an offer but am now discouraged Microsoft
Hello,
I have an accepted offer from Amazon with start date early next month. With the hiring freeze in place I am worried that layoffs will be next and new hires are more at risk when it comes to layoffs. This is making me wonder if it is good time to switch. Would really appreciate some input in this matter.
Just saying... 🤷🏾♂️

How is 72 NY for strategists?
I was old but that’s because I did a lot of other things in consulting and marketing first.
It’s not about age
Your question assumes everyone starts at an agency at the same age and they don’t.
Actually, you’re a strategist and you’re asking a bunch of other strategists a question that lacks context. It’s in our nature to press about these things and to try to understand what it is that you really want to know and why. What difference does age make, in and of itself? Are you trying to understand how many years it will take you to make director (or how late you are)? Because as everyone is saying, age isn’t a useful metric without context.
Maturity makes a big difference when it comes to strategy. So does experience. Having a diverse background might accelerate someone’s pace to title.
There’s a lot going on here. And that’s what strategy is about
Became APD at 28...hoping Director this year at 30 🤞🏼
Very uplifting comments here, but unfortunately in Asia it’s still where age and years matter more than capabilities, drive and passion.
Why are you asking? I’ve seen people get really lucky and were at the right time/right place to become directors at 25. I’ve seen really good sr strats at 30+.
People need to stop these kinds of comparisons...
