Just received an offer from IBM as a sales representative for their Z systems. Comp is great and it seems like a good team. Not too sure about the industry outlook on selling mainframe systems. I'd like to remain within cloud technical sales. If anyone has any info on their products and IBM Z in the industry any advice would be highly appreciated!

I need advice. I teach a Co-Taught class, I’m the Gen-Ed teacher, but my background is Special Ed. My Co-Teacher refuses to teach-(I don’t mean Direct Instruction). She sits in the back of the room and is always on her laptop. She acts as my assistant. My IRR students are failing because she doesn’t support them except near grade posting she tries to negotiate with me to help them pass, suggesting to give them work from her small group class. She only gets up when Admin comes in the room.

My CEO is looking to tighten up our work from home program and get people back into the office more. Most are out 3 to 4 days a week. It's not that they aren't working, but we are missing the energy you get as a collective. I suggested 3 days in office 2 days out and the 3rd week of the month is a hell week, everyone is in 5 days!!! (Of course i wouldn't say that publicly, just for the explanation of this scenario) Any suggestions. I would love to know if anyone else is in a similar situation
I’d like to be prepared for the initial phone screen convo, which will only last 20-30 minutes. The JD shows the salary range as 110-130(USD) commensurate with experience, but I’m happy to land anywhere in that range—yet I don’t think it’s good to disclose that. How can I tactfully still talk to the recruiter about landing closer to 130? Not trying to be greedy, but certainly aiming high!

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. I am experienced in all aspects of HR. How are people with little to no experience coming right out of college obtaining higher level roles than I have currently? As an experienced, SHRM certified HRBP , I would just like some feedback on your opinion of the differences in the roles between an HRBP an HR Manager besides the obvious that the manager should have direct reports. I am an HRBP and work in step with 3 HRM’s. They all 3 just got out of cycle raises of between 5-20% 😳 and I received nothing. I am quite aware of our HR code that salary is confidential but I was told about this. Would you be looking for other employment? Or stay?

I am a Senior People (HR) Business Partner working in NYC under an H-1B visa (9 years of experience). I am looking for something new, but I am finding it extremely difficult to find a company who would support an H-1B Change of Employer (COE). I either get declined immediately as part of the application process or get told the company does not support visa sponsorship for non-tech roles. Any tips, tricks, or great companies where an H-1B COE would not be an issue?

Severance question. I was laid off from my last company and luckily found something a week after being let go. My old company found out I got a new job from my LinkedIn and now wants to take my severance away "because I don't need it anymore and it's not a good look for the company paying someone severence when they are employed somewhere else." This is after the Severence Plan Agreement was signed but before it has been paid out. Is this a normal practice this companies and laying people off?
