I interviewed for a full-time role (remote) but it was later revealed it would require relocation. I am not wanting to do that and they said I could come on as a contractor. The vendor I would go through provides benefits (medical, dental, PTO). What would be a realistic hourly rate to request/negotiate? I work in marketing within a small team. Just myself, my manager and a part time designer that I personally manage. My manager doesn’t seem to do much work. He never tells me what he’s working on, provides no instructions, guidance or feedback, and in our weekly standup he will just list out the tasks I am personally working on.
