Am I the only one weirded out by these mass spreadsheets of individuals who have been laid off? Is anyone really looking to these for hiring purposes?
Entire week off for 4th of July, increased parental leave, $1k spot bonus to all employees, compensation raises, increased bonus pool funding, and midyear promotion announcements NICE WORK LEADERSHIP!
Know someone at McKinsey who knows that I’m well qualified for roles there, but we’re not on the best terms. Is it worth it to ask them for a referral/ask them to direct me to other McK folks who could refer me? Worried that if they knew I was interested and they haven’t moved on from past disagreements that they could tell the recruiter to throw out my app/blackball me from the firm. This person is fairly junior in the firm, but don’t know how much influence they have.
Want to get an mba to get into a cushy tech position. Do people openly write about their tech goals in their apps? Feels like most post-mba essays are usually over-inflated.
I got laid off from my accounting/consulting firm in January and have since been taking a class related to my industry but from a tech angle. I prefer to leave consulting but could stay off the work and work life balance were better. I signed up for this class thinking hiring woods be soft until midyear give or take just wish the class finished. I look on this app and it seems everyone is hiring. Am I missing the boat by not being in a full throttle job search now?
Is there a limit to how many job openings you should apply to at the same company? Some companies specifically say a limit, but others are ????? should I just go ham or??
After consulting, how hard is it to change industries (i.e. from CPG marketing to tech marketing role)? Got a good job offer in CPG/Beauty but wanted to have flexibility in case I don’t like it
I lost my last job a few weeks before Christmas last year and it took me a long while to find a new one. Ultimately I ended up moving to a new city for a job I was really excited about. However, within the first few weeks I suffered a major medical setback which led to a crippling bout of depression. I am finally starting to feel like a person again but I'm afraid the ship has sailed on my having success in my new role.
Anyone from FMCG, OTTs, Flipkart or Amazon here? I could use a referral. I've 8 years of experience in Telcom and Consulting primarily. Focus has been in CVM, Product Management and Retailer commissions/Trade Marketing. TIA
Hey all - I got an awesome new job Accenture in the applied intelligence practice as a consultant. I am also doing my MBA part time at a T15 school. The MBA exit salary is on average 150k for consultants in my program. I was hoping that when I finish my MBA, I would be able to ask for a raise to match my salary to what those MBA folks normally get. Is there a way for me to request that in ACN? If so, how open are leadership to that conversation?

Mid and senior level ADs, what’s your salary and how many years of experience do you have?
Does anyone have experience or insight as to how best to navigate receiving a large settlement bonus (not something that happens on a regular basis, and so is not “expected” income) while on fed student loan income based repayment plan? Next year they will bump up my monthly because my tax return reflects a higher income than my actual salary.

Prior to this ive only ever done FS operations focused consulting i.e. mix of implementation & operating model development/assessment. Hours usually 830-7. Got an offer for a strategy role at a big 4. What are the average hours like? Am I going to regret this?
Just got a lateral hire offer for a Sr Associate role with BCG. Contract states that I can go for Consultant promo in 12 months. I'm interpreting this as, if I don't make the promo threshold in 12 months, I'd be counseled out. Is this a reasonable assumption? Or would I get a few more months of time to work on feedback? I'm nervous - should I be? :(
Slalom 🐠 in org effectiveness. I have 2 years consulting experience, 5 years industry and a Masters in OD. What’s the salary expectations for a tier 3 city?
Hey fishes, could you please tell me how many interview rounds are there in PwC SDC for a Manager position? Any insights would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Is it appropriate to show or offer to provide your evaluation reviews from your current firm to another firm that you are interviewing with for a prospect position? Does that help you land a job ?

Interviewed for a position that I don’t have much interest. Should I send a thank you message?
On H1b with an approved i-140 and transfering to a new employer. Will there be an issue if I have a 1-2 week gap between the two employers. I've been working at this company for about 3.5 weeks now. Its been great so far. We have an org chart in our dashboard ATS/HRIS and so I clicked on my first day buddies name just for fun. I was able to see her entire employee file..even her address. I was really freaked out and I went to another profile and the same thing happened, I was able to see this person's emergency contact. Is this fucking normal? Should I say something and will I get in trouble for looking at a colleagues file?
And after the cacophony on Hathras dies down, the facts that now emerge are very different. Lesson #9999 - never ever believe Delhi centric media reports especially if a crime has allegedly happened in a Bjp ruled state (facts inside)
Didn’t successfully move on in a S&O mgr role. Thought overall the interview went well. What are the best tips for prepping and landing that type of role?
