Is it possible to lateral to MBB from Big 4? I was an experienced hire with an MBA but had no consulting experience. Now that I have some consulting under my belt I’d like to at least look into the possibility of moving up the prestige ladder and making more money. What does the process look like? Should I reach out to recruiters on LinkedIn or what’s the best approach if there is one?
How many overtime hours pay did you all receive as an analyst? In my offer, it stated I will be eligible to receive overtime pay as a CDP analyst so how much more $$$ is that for the year? 3k? 5k? Etc I’m currently deciding between Accenture and big 4 right now.

Hi, I’m travelling to Canada on PR status by July 2022. I currently work for one of the Big 4 consultancies (been here since five years). I would like to understand how much weight that would carry when searching for a job in Canada. Would it even matter? Also, can you suggest if it’s a good idea to approach job consultancies? If yes, any recommendations? PwC EY Deloitte KPMG

I want to pivot to sustainability, preferably consulting, to work on high impact projects with clients. Any recommendations on how to upskill to make this transition? Is my best bet to tackle credentials, learning, or networking? Any advise is greatly appreciated. Also, I’m open to networking on LinkedIn, dm to connect!

What are thoughts on EY. They have called me and want to chat with me about taking over a service line in my city. I am at a top 10 firm now and is my second stop as a partner in PA. I don’t want to be constantly moving firms but opportunities keep coming up at larger and larger shops. No prior B4 experience so needing a little insight if it is worth it.
Looking for some perspective and advice. I’ve moved to an in-house analytics organization for a large fortune 10 company and have prior experience with a big 4 and a startup as head of analytics & data science. Received an offer at an advertising agency for a senior role (slightly more money) and torn on taking the offer or not. This would be my first stint with an ad agency. Potential reasons against: 1) risk? I’m in the safe side already 2) longer hours? 3) less upside growth potential?

FAANG Exit to MBB? 3.5 YOE, Non-technical, 150k TC Been at Alphabet my entire career post-undergrad. Undergrad was a pretty general liberal arts degree and haven’t pursued grad school yet. What would it look like (from a TC + long term career standpoint) to switch over to consulting for a year or two then go back to my non-tech tech lifestyle?
How does in-house pay generally compare to other employees within your company? I’ve come to learn that I’m paid similar to or less than many of my colleagues in different departments (engineering, finance, govt relations, and more) - and while I acknowledge it may be silly, I feel kind of crappy and jealous that we’re paid the same after I spent several more years in school, took out way more debt and worked hard through law school, and grinded through several years of BigLaw.
Recently graduated with my bachelors and got 52K for staff accountant on the audit side. Recently been in talks with RSM, if I get an offer after the internship what should I shoot for salary?

How do people feel about continuing to send money for the war. I 100% support Ukraine but we are providing so much more than the entire EU and we have our own problems at home. I feel for Ukraine but how about using that $40b to fly baby formula here if they are getting stuck on ships. Or programs for the homeless or drug abuse. Why can’t we expect EU to match us and really contribute more given it’s their backyard. We can’t be the bank for all wars.
How do Oracle products like Primavera OPPM and Prime for project portfolio management compare to Copperleaf?

Met with a Deloitte recruiter last week and she said her scheduler would be reaching out. Confirmed again that her scheduler would be in touch when she responded to my thank you note. It’s been almost a week now, do I sit tight or follow up?
