You feeling the burn out too? Curious how long you’ve been at RB

like

I am from Asia office too. But quite the opposite here rb4

All, have heard bad things about RB though

likefunny

Not all.

RB has a lot of European consultants on restrictive visas in the US - they can’t leave RB if they want to stay in the US. There is an endless supply of international consultants who will come on transfer if another one is burned out and leaves.

If RB is having folks from Europe there is advantage of most of them being non Asian ( simple terms white ) .. it does come with certain privileges and may yield better work life balance if played right

At Deloitte it was and is the ongoing case .. another issue is lack of quality in college hires, it adds to the burden on experienced hires to fix the bottom layer issues ( too many power point babies but not much coding folks )

Seriously, glorified slideware is not a “digitally-enabled solution” no matter how pretty it looks…

I’ll speak on behalf of RB US and say that I think some managers in some offices really do care about people. I know many may not feel the same, but I think it’s a good place to work. When you feel the way of OP it is probably your time to go. Not everyone will make Partner. That’s the reality. You know when it’s your time to go when you feel burnt out and unmotivated. It’s no longer a fit.

FC is wonderful agree

Don’t think so / there’s a lot of value lost in resignations esp for mid levels. I am from RB in SEA, the firm is increasingly focusing on more work life conversations …

Anyone have any advice on how to get out of a lease without penalty? The heat in my apartment didn’t work properly all winter and now the AC isn’t working properly either. The temp in the apartment actually goes up while the AC is running. I’ve brought both the heat and the AC issue up to the leasing office multiple times and they keep saying everything works properly.

Don’t want to call out of work but can’t fathom working today 💔. Lucky I’m finally in house. Left partner of 2Y yesterday. Always had jealousy issues (her thinking I chose friends over her, her isolating me from friends to have me all to herself) and I finally said enough is enough. Final straw was her throwing a glass of water in my face when fighting. She keeps begging me to come home and says she’ll change. Hard not to go back. Never thought I’d be 32, heartbroken, and on sisters spare room.

I have a white coworker who I unexpectedly became attracted to a couple of months ago. We would ping occasionally about work and then exchange messages about other topics, or after having a video call about work, chat about other things. I kind of got the impression he may also like me because he would make subtle comments like I was his favorite colleague to work with and one day when we hadnt talked all day and I pinged him to ask him a question, his response was (see comments)

I’ve been at my company for 6 months. I’m supposed to be a Junior Cloud Developer. They’ve had 5 “training” meetings with me (all things I already knew) and I got access to most things. I’ve read all there documentation.

I’ve asked for more work or training multiple times and even threatened to quit on my last attempt. But they haven’t given me anything for 2 months now. What do I do?
