Hello All,
I have recently joined FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.
Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?
Can anyone please guide?

No, some do and some don’t.
Rephrasing-which do not prorate?
Mine doesn’t. If you take leave you likely won’t hit your hours. Bonuses are purely hour based, so those who take leave (like me when I had my kid) will not be eligible for bonuses. I get it. What hurts, and most people don’t realize is raises are based on profitability during the year. so even if you work is stellar and you hit your prorated hours (based on the amount of leave you take) you won’t be profitable so you’re not going to see much - if any -raise in a year where you take leave.
I know this won’t apply to all firms, but it applies to my large firm and it really sucks.
wow that's like the opposite of what we want - prorated hours but full bonus

What firm are you at? A lot easier to answer than trying to cover all possibilities until you hear your firm name
I’m not trying to find out if my firm (Fenwick btw) prorates - I’ve been on two leaves and know that it does. If you hit prorated hours you get a prorated bonus. I’m trying to get a sense of the market. My friend who used to be in biglaw said she got her full bonus the year she went on leave and hit prorated hours.
This is the first year my firm (LW) is NOT prorating your bonus for parental leave; hours requirement is prorated.

Full bonus if you hit prorated hours
My firm prorates bonuses and true ups if you go beyond your prorated hours. It’s just the right thing to do.
Same with my firm.
Quinn prorates.

STB prorates
Mofo prorates, but also trues up if you exceed the prorated hours
