No offense but any recruiter guy/girl over 45 pitching these F1000 or temp roles, should just go away. These are the used car salesman just looking for commissions and will place you into Accounts Payable.
Find them yourself
They all are. This one tried to sell me a role I was so unqualified for and wouldn’t let me finish a sentence. He talked too much. Turned them down quick.
As a recruiter at Baker Tilly LLP I will tell you sometimes a search agency would be helpful for higher level roles (some are confidential searches) or people relocating into an area where they do not know the companies. There are some very strong agency recruiters to help you but tread carefully. If you decide to work with one I would HIGHLY encourage working with someone who is a CPA and used to work in public accounting as they will "get it".
I will say, I often wonder why people apply to some roles through an agency recruiter when they could have easily applied on their own and saved their potential new company 20-30% of their first year salary. If you are interviewing against others with no fee, you most likely will lose. Best of luck to you!
I have only ever worked with experienced recruiters. Yes, it's a bit selfish but I'm not going to entrust my professional future to someone who has only been recruiting for 6 months.
