Do any firms provide tuition reimbursement post-MBA? Scenario: I work for firm X. Go to top 10 bschool. Land job at firm Y. Can I request firm Y to offer $ as part of my MBA tuition reimbursement?

Deloitte will pay for your second year of MBA if you intern with them and accept a full-time offer afterwards

like

Same with Accenture

Thanks, Cog1. That’s actually a pretty damn good deal but I’m not keen on working for D after bschool. What’s the commitment after that? How many years do I have to work there?

like

I don't know for sure but I believe it's a 2 year commitment. Keep in mind that they deduct any scholarships you may have so the actual benefit could be less than a full year's tuition.

like

And I believe it's taxable income, given to you gross in the amount of tuition. So if tuition was $60000 you'll probably only end up with $40-45k

It usually doesn't work like that from a negotiation standpoint unless you are a rock star candidate. MBA recruiting is pretty fixed

Agreed with D1. You won't really have any room for negotiation. That being said, every Deloitte intern at NYU in my year got this deal as part of their internship conversion offer. So you don't even have to ask for it.

ACN and Deloitte as of C/O 2017

What about non-consulting firms?

MBB or VC? -VC is a name brand but smaller early stage investor (definitely not Sequoia/A16z; $500M assets) -Post-MBA level at both. Data science at both if it matters (data science consultant at MBB; data science expert running DD/value creation at VC) -Comp yr 1 is same, but upward trajectory at VC is way less set in stone -I find the space the VC plays in interesting but I am not dead set on staying there or VC in general. Am a little worried about "wasting" 2 yrs if I reapply to MBB anyway

Context, I am currently at Deloitte US and thinking of requesting a USI transfer because of a serious health issue for one of my parents. Would be really thankful if someone can clarify 1)Will parents existing conditions/treatment (Chemotherapy ) be covered from my day of joining and 2) Will sum assured will reset every year (if yes, then when, January or our FY). Thank you
