I work in public sector and though my position has been entirely remote, I was surprised to find that they're requiring me back in soon after 2 years. I was hoping to move closer home to care for a family member, so I think I should attempt to negotiate or move on to a full time telework job. Why are Companies asking us to return to office when are working more than ever in WFH?

I’m a sponsored MBA student with option to come back to my firm (Tier 2) at Manager/Project Leader level, but I’ve also received full time offer for MBB at post-MBA level (lower TC by >50K plus need to cover 80K USD for MBA). I may want to stay in consulting long-term, but also open to switching to tech at some point. Is there a strong reason to switch to MBB now, or does it make sense to work in my current firm for 2 years and then make lateral move to MBB at a more senior level?

I can confirm that an MBA isn’t a hard req as I’ve had recruiters reach out and offers to move forward to interviews before. Hey friends happy Friday. If So far I have done everything but dev within the software product cycle; and I now want to enter the area of PM. With 22 yrs in the industry - how do I best position my never been a PM before? AND I feel I have been at the other end of the role’s dependencies - so I feel a PM role would bring all of my experience together. I doubt I should apply for a junior PM; how i best position myself here?

Question for ya’ll. I’m effective at managing 2-3 features simultaneously - from discovery to launch. But when I get to 4 or 5 simultaneous features, everything starts falling apart.

How do you balance keeping everything moving forward at that level of context switching?

Right now I’m unhappy in my role due to bad management. I work in NYC at a beauty/CPG company. I just had the SVP of Product during our company meeting, tell the whole organization that I'm taking on the complete replacement of a legacy application (I can't even impress upon you how herculean this would be). It's an app I'm intimately familiar with. There was no strategy provided explaining "why," it should be replaced and I was not told about this by said SVP or my boss, prior to the meeting. I'm beyond incensed and overwhelmed. What would you do?
