I wish i had the mental energy for poshmark. But I just ship everything to thredup. You get only a few dollars per item, but I just want it out of my closet I’ll take a few bucks.
.
Poshmark & Mercari - the only items that are worth it are designer goods. Anything else gets donated since it’s not worth the effort for the $10 you end up getting
I’ve had some luck with Poshmark. New clothing or accessories with tags (and original packaging for shoes) is the easiest to sell, and I’ve also had luck with household items such as a throw. So basically if I buy something on final sale and it doesn’t fit. Eager to hear from others here.

I do RealReal for designer stuff but have just submitted a few designer and vintage items to ReSee to see what their offers are like.
I probably should do Poshmark, Etsy (vintage) or eBay but I don’t have the energy for it.
I’ve bought on Vestiaire and Tradesy and am curious about selling on there.

I stopped selling on eBay since they started requiring you to provide your Social Security number. I am sketched out by that and don’t want them having mine
I sold extra unopened makeup, clothes, and stationery on Depop. Crazy fees, isn’t really worth the time for the money you get back. But it was a fun experience and there are so many creative people on that platform
I tried Poshmark and hated taking the time to print the label, box, ship, etc.
I have taken clothes to places like Clothes Mentor and Uptown Cheapskate because they pay you on the spot, but they only give an average of about $4 per item.
I’ve also taken them to consignment stores in town where they give you 50% of what they sell it for once they sell it. The tough thing about this is that it may not , so you get nothing or they could lose it/get stolen, etc. BUT, overall, you can make more money.

I've sold on Thredup, Poshmark and Tradesy. Echoing what others have said here, Thredup is the fastest and easiest but also gives the lowest returns.
If you're in a bigger city, try Beacons Closet or Buffalo Exchange too. I've sold at Beacons Closet and its super fast and I just get some quick cash for my stuff
