I believe BDO has a policy of if you leave within 60 days of returning you have to pay back some portion. I don’t have any insight on what happens if someone leaves in that period but I would assume it would be pursued. It’s not a small amount for them to be out between salary paid leave and benefits.
My firm (not in the US) requires one year of service before paid parental leave. My son was born after I completed one year and one week with the firm 😂😂.
Yup! They give between 60-90 days to pay it back (doesn't always happen all at once). It is also not generally a long time to be back (at my firm it is the length of time you took for maternity leave). And if you're just not ready to be back full-time, they offer flex schedules and stuff to get through it so that you don't have to pay anything out if that is what is best for you.
My understanding is they have an insurance policy that reimburses them for your salary and benefits. Having to repay if you leave sounds pretty draconian.
I read about that in the Deloitte policy, haha. They would do something like that lol.
Following. Anyone know if pwc does this? Lol
