Loved it for law school exam prep but can’t ever imagine using it for practice

Not me but I’ll use In a Nutshell

Bankruptcy is helpful

Yes I love E&E, haven’t read it in a while but if needed a refresher or something, would def use it. What are you trying to learn?

I use IICLE for Illinois specific examples and explanations, but I can’t imagine using E&E.

I think it could be a good start but it’s not enough for practice.

I have a SM grade level with 13 years of experience as an IT Architect. I have joined Cognizant 3 years ago and my current salary is at 85k which is not that attractive to me. So I am thinking of leaving Cognizant as an Employee and keep my engagement as a Freelancer. Knowing that I have a good blueprint at my Practice. Been rated at 5 last year, and contributing in several projects which generates a good revenue for the practice.
What’s your view on the Freelance switch ? Cognizant will accept?

Advice to young lawyers. Read a book.

I saw the thread about savings and many young lawyers (20s and 30s) don’t know how to open up a brokerage account or invest in their 401k. I know they don’t teach personal finance in school (though they should!), but my advice is that you should go to your local library and read a book about the subject. You have the skills necessary but you must invest in yourself. No one will look out for you.
