Do companies revert the promotion of candidate if he resign after a day of getting promotion letter?

We are a very small firm. I have had a paralegal working for me for 14 years. She is my longest tenured employee. She is good but by no means a superstar. I have given her a raise and bonus annually. I am trying to figure out at what point I might stop giving her raises. On the one hand, she is a valuable employee. On the other hand, I could probably get someone cheaper who could do the job as well and giving a raise every year because she expects one may be too generous. I appreciate input.

Received an offer to join another big four for 125k + 5k signing bonus. I’m up for promotion to SC at Deloitte and would essentially be making a lateral move. Currently at 100k as a second year C. Feel like I should try to aim for the upper mid 130s between comp + signing bonus. Thoughts?

For promotion is it normal to see only 5% raise? Standard is typically 3-5% at my firm.

How do you deal with a Partner that gives you loads of unbillable work. I’ve made sure to bring up that that client won’t pay atty fee for certain tasks and he tells me to bill it as xyz but xyz are usually tasks that don’t take that long so it does end up getting cut! He is a non-equity partner desperately trying to get a promotion only cares about the work he turns in/bills even if it means screwing over the associates on the file.

I started interviewing early Oct with a company that reached out via recruiter. The hiring manager was very straight forward with me that I was his top candidate and I was told all other interviews were very positive incl CMO. The recruiter said they'd be making an offer but it's now been three weeks. Anyone else had the process drag on like this? Meanwhile I'm taking other interviews and was offered a promotion at current company, but was very interested in this one. What would you do?
