Do cover letters actually make a difference when applying for a job?

Don’t bother. I’ve got plenty if interviews without them. Sure, some companies may not send you an interview invite, but you can be applying yo so many more jobs if you don’t have to write the cover letter.

like

Lol but that’s prob cuz you’re from pwc. I’m from a mid tier so might be getting as many interview invites haha

I'm in industry and we barely even read the resume much less a cover letter

like

Not in my opinion, but it won’t hurt either

Just not sure if it’s worth the time to be typing up cover letters for all the jobs I’m applying for

Yea, if you're still living in the 1900s.

Probably but I don’t have the time for that

I am a 5 year experienced developer and am applying for position as a developer in bank. I have cleared the assignment, interview and soft skills. I next have an offer interview scheduled but it’s with the IT chapter lead and the Manager instead of the recruiter. That feels bit weird and I feel they would talk me on a low salary because I am “not so experienced”. I did interview at another company earlier and they refused to pay the salary I asked for because I wasn’t senior enough. Any tips ?

Hello fellow people,I have joined a middle tier company 3 months back, now I am not at all enjoying work there, because of technology stack,When I am giving interviews outside, they are asking why are you changing this early, and what's the guarantee that you won't repeat same thing with our company. What should I do.

Doordash gets asked about a lot and I know they’re notorious for ghosting/using people’s work for S&O roles. Have a non-S&O interview coming up. Does Doordash use the case interview for all their positions (which leads to the inevitable rejection) or just for S&O roles?
