Can someone recommend the top consulting firms to look at for HCLS opportunities? Preferably firms with a dedicated BU in HCLS focused on advising as well as project based work. I am currently in discussions with Huron. I have looked at Oliver Wyman (appears to be heavy on payor and Rev Cycle), Deloitte McKinsey & Company and Capgemini I’ve reached out to McKinsey but didn’t receive a reply. Any direction/advice and referrals would be greatly appreciated!

In-house perspective: I always ask who the creative team is when putting together an estimate. That’s because I know who can and can’t direct talent, who never times their scripts and burns hours of studio time rewriting during sessions, who will wallow in indecision over the perfect VO edit and so forth. I know who in the agency can turn around a day-long project in three hours, and who can barely manage to do it in three days.
This!!
Yes so don’t treat your Production partners like shit. They can choose to never work with you again too.
Yes, but that usually doesn’t decide IF they will bid. Usually just a courtesy question. Unless your creatives are well known assholes.
Yes, and I’ve once had a vendor turn a job down once they found out who the creatives were.
Always. I’ve spoken to a few directors about this. Primarily, they want to know who they’re going to spend the next two weeks with. Nobody wants to be around a well known a**hole 12 hours a day if they can avoid it. That being said, if the work is great, they’re typically not going to turn it down because of that. But if the work is on the bubble for a director, knowing who the team is may swing it either way for them.
Yes and if they aren’t known creatives a good producer will as who the GCD or ECD on the business is.
Yeah it absolutely factors into the production company’s and director’s experience, final output, and profit margin
Yes. I always tell them when I send out the production info this way they don’t have to ask
Yes.
What happened to spec sheets? It’s really affecting bidding transparency
Yes. If they are a known entity it can help win the job by knowing what they like. Also helps to know that they expect certain things/ helps with budgeting
