I work as a TPM for a bank and my aim is to find myself in a product company( currently on a consultants payroll) . I have over 13 yrs of experience in IT and been working as TPM for the last 1.5 yrs. I tried to interview with Amazon 6 months back and failed in the loop. They say per my experience, I qualify for L6 but they felt I had not worked in large projects like they expected. I know for sure this is something about how I portray my experience. How do I get coached to showcase my skills?Amazon

You have to start planting the seeds for the manager switch early on, and you can't assume it'll just happen. There is a manager track but it's worth flagging in discussions (informal or formal) to make it clear where your mind is at - otherwise you're likely to get passed up for others
