When Facebook renamed to Meta, people started calling FAANG to MAANG
Can this be changed to MAANGO (little
meaningful :P) by adding Oracle??
It's definitely a good competitor. What's your thoughts?
For those who have worked at multiple FAANG companies, what are the biggest differences between them?
I'm currently in Tech Sales. However, I want to work with FAANG; it's literally my greatest dream. I have a UX Design Cert from General Assembly that I earned last year.
After months of applications and rejections, I left and got into tech sales because I knew I'd easily get a job and bills had to be paid.
I think I failed to get jobs because of a lack of visual design skills (my specialties were in project management and user research), and weak portfolio. What should I do?

Hey fishes, I am a developer with 5 yoe. Working in big4. I want to switch to a good organization like faang, vmware, walmart. Please provide your valuable suggestions how to go for it. As if i directly apply from company's portal, my CV itself is not shortlisted then how to proceed and prepare for interview.

Been Interested in working at a FAANG for the past 5 years. I am a Certified Scrum Master, Agile Coach, and Product Owner. I never see many roles in those areas at most FAANG companies ?? Can someone help me out ? Is it a different title at those companies and are referrals needed ??
Reading through some possible interview questions for FAANG. One of the ones I've seen on Glassdoor are to design a basic architecture structure for something like Netflix or Twitter or Spotify. I've been researching online using AWS or GCP (still learning all the moving parts of architecture). Any advice on how the setup would be? I'm assuming you'd start with some Load Balancers. For Netflix maybe have different different APIs for signing up vs scrolling through possible movies?
Anyone have insight into how taxing works on RSUs. Someone at NVIDA mentioned that their RSUs also get taxed by the company and hance you never actually see the sum total of RSUs awarded to you. Basically, 30% of RSUs awarded get held back as tax. Is this true for FAANG companies, specifically Amazon? TIA
So I've heard from a bunch of people that working as a Product Designer at a FAANG company isn't as glamourous as people make it out to be.
Is there any truth to this? Or is it just bitter people who didn't get hired?
I've heard the work life balance is tough, and that people usually leave after less than 1.5 years because the churn is crazy.
Is it worth going for FAANG companies or nah?
Need some advice here.I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future even for an ML role?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Google Microsoft Adobe Citi Barclays Bank of America
What’s generally standard among FAANG companies for offer acceptance once one is extended? If anyone has experience with this, is it one week or is it more flexible? I am trying to schedule final onsite with two companies and hoping I can get timing to line up (in the event I am fortunate enough to have offers).
Can anyone who works in FAANG or similar companies tell me more about the creative/technological freedom there?
I mean I have heard that they allow you to enlist in any project in any technology that interests you and even lets you start new projects if it is approved by management. How far is this true? I recently got to know that few of my peers are working in FAANG companies in US, earning an annual income of over a crore & since then I have been in self doubt on whether I should go for my masters or not. I am getting a feeling that i have under achieved @inhe the last 5 years of my career . Earlier I was happy knowing that I am working in Deloitte as a consultant, earning 25 LPA. I am having headaches each day thinking about it. What should I do?
FAANG Sr. Business Development Manager?
Considering rotating through Sr BDM and Sr. Product Manager at Amazon post MBA, would like to hear more insight like job differences, compensation, travel?
At what point is it considered optimal to make the jump from Big4 to FAANG? I've been a Tech Consultant at EY for a little under a year and, while I like the company very much, I do very little actual technical work. Experienced hire, Senior, 130k base. I'm very tempted to jump over to Amazon (despite their reputation for frugality). Do I attempt to make the switch now or wait until I get promoted to Manager?
Which is the best company to work for amongst the FAANG companies? Best in terms of quality of work, employee benefits, pay, etc
Hi all,Getting somewhat bored at Google. Would love to move to a company where my work is making a positive impact to the world vs making Google more revenue.Any non FAANG companies who have interesting work and pay 150k+ total comp?
Is the workload and overall stress the same for non-tech roles in FAANG vs Non-FAANG companies? I work for a FAANG company and am stressed out and kind of miss just going to work and clocking out a 5 and not thinking about work. It’s been a while since I worked in non FAANG since my early career years so I’m not sure if things are different nowadays with technology and competition changing over the years.
