Do firms ever rescind offers if you slack of and end up with a poor G.P.A.? I’m talking full time offers after graduation.

I got offer Letter from infosys 2.5 months back, now when I am trying to decline the offer by sending a mail to HR, it was not getting delivered as HR left the organisation 1 month back, I forwarded mail to feedback team of infosys but still got the mail from onboarding team with joining details and WebEx link, kindly suggest how to proceed in this case.

Should I go for Software Engineer at Zoom or SDE-2 at Zeta ?

Base salary and bonus are almost same but Zoom is providing more RSUs vs less ESOPs at Zeta.

Hi! Can someone recommend a source for learning how do simple, fun music lessons on Zoom? I teach first grade and use music for my transitions. I would also like to play songs for them with my guitar, but am concerned it won’t sound good on zoom (the guitar, not my voice, which is bad, we established that long ago)

How are you teaching middle or high school chorus in the fully virtual realm? I’m looking for new ideas and techniques. I hate that my choirs can only sing on Zoom with everyone muted...that’s the opposite of choral singing :-(

Generally curious how many companies offer phone reimbursement? My last gig did not but the current one does. Legally it seems, all employers are required to do so if we use our phone in literally any capacity (video call, slack, teams, emails etc). How prevalent is the issue of not reimbursing phone dues?

Anyone who recently joined mindtree can please tell me the steps till joining. I got offer from mindtree and after accepting offer, I was asked to submit all documents related to employment, education etc. on a portal for background verification. After that what will be the next steps and when? How do I know that bg verification completed or still under process. They don’t have any portal to check current status. I am asking here because hr in mindtree don’t pickup calls.

8 years as Abap developer, Implement SAP at 3rd World country. Not making much money as they said. I just want a peaceful life now. I think I regret what I choose... Every year I skip new year's party because of work. Can't even afford house or car. Hard work is not paying me well..

I work for the US’ largest concierge healthcare company and although Covid-19 has been devastating for so many, our company constantly raves about our (recent) success and how business is booming. Hi, I’m in a field where there are very few foreigners. I’ve been in this country since teenage years but I’m still on h1b (but most employers would think I’m already a citizen because they just don’t encounter many candidates who are not Americans in the field). At what point should I inform a potential employer that I need visa sponsorship? I was told I should wait to tell until I get an offer. Is that right?

My parents expect me to chip in and pay for a lot of stuff because I make more than they do. I have no problem with that at all, but my siblings treat me like a walking atm for any and everything which kind of ticks me off. Anyone feel like your job sees you as "one of the good ones?" It hasn't explicitly been said, but I'm one of the only Black attorneys at the firm and I think my white colleagues and partners see me as an example of how Black folks "should be" cause I mind my business. Basically I feel like a token, and I don't know how to shift that idea while staying professional.

Junior atty at a big regional firm. Not big law per se but I have more financial security than anyone in my family and can importantly help them (not just sallie Mae). Any business development advice for a minority female partner-level transactional lawyer? I have strong resume, incredible deal sheet, worked at the best firms. Existing firm clients say I'm the best counsel they ever had. But developing new clients (my own clients) is a hurdle. Seems like potential clients (mostly all white men) won't give me a chance at a deal. If they'd send me just one deal, I could win them over, but can't get my foot in the door. Advice?
