It’s time for me to move on from my back office/CBS job at EY. I’ve been able to get through to recruiter and hiring manager screening round with FAANG employers and some tech companies but never beyond that. How can I differentiate myself when I’m probably also up against our client facing colleagues in consulting. I have about 12 years experience (7 at EY doing the same thing).

What practice? Are there open job recs in your geo FOR your practice? What did they say on your last practice all hands (signings/rev up yty?) that should have been recent or be happening soon?
Broadly, I think services firms are going to try and make very surgical cost cuts in lagging practices and avoid headline-busting bloodbaths. I'd be shocked to see a 10% cut across the board, instead focusing on lagging and slow growth practices.
With the length of the recession predicted to be relatively short, huge firms will want to protect their talent brand as they'll be hunting for staff sooner rather than later
