The best part of being a manager is telling each engagement team you have meetings at the other and hitting the golf course
Nope. I was thinking about staying till then. I decided last week it's not worth the blood sweat and tears of another year and a half in PA.
No, it's shit
@rsm1 the info in that article is literally goingconcern referencing itself. Don't put too much stake into it. Leaving after manager1 is the conventional wisdom and anecdotally it's the best route.
^that sounds like magical awesome land, not real life. Are there managers living this life?
Yes so you can bribe the staff and hopefully sleep with them
at this point I don't even want to be a senior. #atillworking
@PwC 1.. is it really all of us ? I used to think im the only lazy arse. Feel guilty about working from home by telling different teams im onsite with other team
Haha that's fucking great 😂
No wonder people always say there's flexibility in PA
Yes - significant milestone bonus (25%) and then you can leave and get a manager job outside PA
That said rsm has manager and manager lite to complicate things.
yeah manager life kinds sucks but if you have good teams then you are just on autopilot...you show up shit is done....you pretend to work on your "other client" then go home....weekend you just turn on your laptop from home respond to a couple emails to make it seem like you worked and just hit that code for 60 hours.
I know I don't
it depends on the team. on some jobs I do almost nothing if the senior is good i just show up everything is done everything is perfect and I have nothing to add...other jobs the senior is bad and I have to hold their hand and start putting out fires.
Interesting article about the subject. http://goingconcern.com/big-4-myth-manager-salaries/
Manager lite?
Rsm has "supervisor" between senior and manager. Usually it's after s2.
The GC story is written by a company that needs more seniors to place in industry.
Well i know we are making it sound really fun, but it's both ways. Yes, i get to work from home and work by my schedule but also i've worked a bit on almost all my vacations. Always being available for ur team and partner. Not complaining but there's alwYs a trade lff
