Early in my career I made the decision to go to work instead of pursuing a master’s, so that I could start saving, pay off my student loans, and not accumulate additional debt. Fast forward to today, my savings have shriveled, the jobs I want now strongly prefer a master’s, and the student loan debt I paid off could now be forgiven. Quite the plot twist.

Getting ready for a new life adventure in some other city or country. Have a great house in an extremely desirable city. We should probably rent it, gain a little monthly cash, and let the asset grow even more. But part of me says just sell it while it’s high now, and go forth and not have to worry about renters and things breaking etc. Just move on and buy something when we settle. house is paid for. Thoughts?

Hi. A bit new to audit and have a question on a report's opinion.
I came across a somewhat old auditor report (from a very small auditing firm) that listed several instances where employees misappropriated assets within its schedule of findings, yet the opinion was unmodified. Is this fine? I would think it'd affect the opinion not knowing everything that was misappropriated. Could it be that the auditor felt comfortable enough on how much they identified and that lowered the risk?

Final rounds last week. HR called the next day to say they’d take about a week on decisions. Can’t tell if this is good or bad.

Question from a non-PI lawyer, if there is a car accident that causes a major injury or even death to a passenger at the fault of the driver, how far will the civil liability go for the driver? If the driver is an adult, could the plaintiff/their estate go after future earnings? Could they go after the driver’s family for recovery? Or would it just be limited to the insurance policy?
