How much monthly spend to make this card worth the cost?

like

When I started I didn’t bank with chase and only had ~1 year on a low limit cc. Good credit score but very little credit history so I knew my chances weren’t great. A few days after I applied I called chase to speak to a representative and let them know I would be traveling for work soon and needed the card for corporate expenses. They looked up my account and approved me on the spot! If you’re worried, calling and explaining your situation can’t hurt.

Credit karma will let you know your odds too. It’s a great free tool.

Not sure I had a 750, but have also been a chase client for 5 years

Yea most likely. My credit score was around 720 when I applied for CSR which you should too if you can spend/expense enough to justify the fee

A friend was approved at 708 with 6 months history.

Chase savings and premiere checking customer though with direct deposit of 10k+ a month.

You may be approved. They will ask for additional documents like your housing lease etc.

My wife got a job that requires us to relocate to San Diego. We have never lived there and know little about the city. We are planning to rent. We stayed in a hotel in little Italy and really loved the vibe there, but it’s too expensive for us. Are there other neighborhoods with similar vibes - restaurants, bars, lively, good for walking, clean, safe, young, diverse and accessible that are more affordable? Please share recommendations. How much should we reasonably budget to rent a 2bd/2bath?

Hi there, I had a question about 401k or Roth IRA. Should I put money into anyone of the two as an international student? I don’t see the point because I want to invest my money instead of saving it. Plus I don’t even have a permanent resident status so I don’t know if it makes sense saving it for retirement. On the other hand, the employer match and so on sounds good. So should I save it and take it out later or just invest it?

1. I have maxed out 401K. 2. If I put money in traditional IRA, and then roll over to Roth IRA - what is the tax treatment? If this is post-tax money, do I pay any additional taxes now or later on capital gains? 3. Are there other avenues I am missing? Thank you very much in advance.

Has anyone here been to Tanzania? Planning to go for my 35th birthday (Feb 2023) and wondering how best to get started with planning. I want to go for around 2 weeks and would love a more structured itinerary and not sure if it’s best to go through a travel agent or do the itinerary myself. Any suggestions would be super appreciated.

2nd year associate here (going into my third). Will have about 114k in student loan debt at the turn of the year. I have roughly 60k in my investment account, 45k in 401k and an adequate balance in my emergency fund. I also contribute to my HSA and will cross the threshold for investing that in January. During 0% on student loans i have been using every spare dine to pay that down. My question is should that continue or should I tone that back and start investing more? Cont’d in comments...

I currently wear many hats. I’m an EHS Manager, but also do minimal work with purchasing, HR, and Quality.
This morning I was volun-told I would be going through Green Belt training for Lean Six-Sigma at my plant. This will add onto my job responsibilities, with no mention of additional compensation.
Normally I’d jump at the opportunity for career advancement, but I was recently turned down for a pay increase, so I refuse to take on anymore work without pay.
What’s the right way to say that?

Enjoying the last few weeks of summer 🏊

I recently accepted a management trainee position in Northern California. Just received a call earlier about someone backing out in Austin, Texas and they wanted to know if I would be interested in training there instead of California. They will adjust the compensation because cost of living is cheaper. How do I negotiate with trying to stay in the range of my compensation I initially agreed to, instead of adjusting to the cost of living in Texas?

Anyone knows if it is easier to get a mortgage for an investment property than for second home? Mortgage specialist from a bank I worked with for my first purchase said rates would be a bit higher for rental property and cannot use gift money for downpayment. How does rental income come into place in the whole process? How can potential rental income reduce my rates or upfront cash outflow? Also should I use the same bank for this second mortgage? Any recommendations? Thank you in advance.

This is getting depressing.
