I live in Sawtelle. Strongly discourage biking, each time I’ve done it I’ve come very close to some car running over me (closest call was a police car actually)

Buses will take you to Westwood and train will take you to Santa Monica and Downtown, at the cost of a VERY long commute time incl train ride and walking this station. For everything else you DO need a car.

TLDR: Get a car

Yes you can definitely bike but need to take the right bike roads like Arizona. Look on google maps for the bike route.

The blue SM buses work well too and are great once you figure out timing.

Ohio/Broadway has bike lanes as well. When I worked in SM (and lived in Brentwood), I rode my bike or rode the bus/walked a few blocks.

No need to get car, honestly.

Train might also be an option, sawtelle is between two stations. Depending on how far north of the expo line you are, you could take that during the week

More like a week or two out of the year...

We need more rain. 😭
