What would you do?
My company contracts a web developer, we have a set amount of hours for the quarter and pay over if more work is needed.
He never gets anything done. Doesn’t answer emails half the time. The one thing he’s done was take out a blurb that threatened our eligibility for patent renewal.
We have another company taking over in January, but I still have some pretty important dev needs until then and I can’t get him to do a thing. I truly try to give him all he needs.

Hey everyone. 1 YOE here and looking to lateral. This will be the first time I apply as a professional as opposed to a student. I have CDD exposure but would appreciate some help putting that in my resume. Would anyone be willing to share some of the bullets they used to describe their CDD work?

Completed a process for a position about 2 weeks ago and haven’t heard back. They indicated it would be a lengthy turnaround given they are setting up a new fund and building the team top down. Would it be rude to ask for a timing/process update? Driver of me wanting to push is I have moved far along in another process and don’t think I’ll have much time to decide. The slower moving opportunity is more attractive to me but there would likely be one more round there to complete.

I am a current PE associate who was placed by CPI in 2021. I want to lateral to another PE firm but soooo many PE firms use CPI as their headhunter. CPI is contractually prohibited from sending me lateral opportunities because my firm is a CPI client (and CPI would lose their commission if I left before my 1 year was up). If I want to start a family office, what kind of experience would be helpful? Looking at whether I should get a 1-2 years of experience in HF, PE or VC. I have 4 years of consulting experience, did a mix of CDD, ODD, strategy and PMO work. Family is worth about 300 mil and is looking to put about 50 mil into the fund to start. We are in Southeast Asia if that matters. I have little knowledge of investing, so L any insight would be greatly appreciated!

What counts as operational experience in a startup context? I am a data scientist interested in VC in the long run. After a year or two as Lead DS, I plan to do a stint in a startup.
