OP what are you working ... or drinking , smoking , snorting ?
Weird flex. But okay.
Did you miss a couple of zeros while converting this to USD? Because that question is laughable unless you just want to brag
Lol. 15 crores will get you lavish luxury apartment. Anything above 2 crores will allow you to have great choices at in demand places even in Mumbai. But sky is the limit.
Yes 15 cr will get you the higher end homes of the nicer neighborhoods but yes the sky is the limit in Bombay.
Are you high? 15 crore rupees is around 2 million USD
Yah I know it is 2m, but I was told Mumbai is often more expensive than New York, and also I saw a flat in a building called “Jal Darshan” for 15crore. It didn’t look great. That leads me to conclude maybe 15cr isn’t top line.
If the area you’re looking at is either worli colaba or the likes, then yes, 15 Crores will not get you top line apartments
@M1 you don’t even get good houses for 2 crores in Navi Mumbai these days.
If you need a decent size apartment in the good areas of South Bombay, you should be prepared to spend 40+ crore.
You can get top of the line luxury apartments in bandra for 15 crores
@M1 2.5 crores will not allow you to have great choices in any region south of lokhandwala/Andheri. That’s just not true. If you need a 3 bed apartment in any location south of Andheri/Santacruz you are looking at a minimum of 3 crores.
You are choosing one of the best localities, obviously the number would be slightly higher.
Ok native mumbaikar here. Here’s the lowdown:
On average a semi decent 1000sq ft 2 bedroom flat in lokhandwala will cost you maybe 3cr.
A really nice 3 BHK flat in bandra will cost you close to 10cr. So yeah 15cr isn’t tooooo much but it’s not like you’ll be living in squalor. Are you a townie? If so you’ll probably get something in breach candy or peddle road for that much but it won’t be luxurious. It’ll be a decent 3-4 bedroom house in a historic building.
To give you guys an idea of prime real estate and the insanity that is Bombay: the building at the end of marine drive is called NCPA apartments. It has The Who’s who of big shots living there and is an old iconic building. A regular 3/4 bedroom flat in that building will run you about 40-50cr. You literally cannot get a better or more exclusive location that that. There may be some flats in more exclusive buildings that are expensive but I would say that’s the pinnacle of real estate in Mumbai (short of mega mansions in worli)
OP mentioned the building he saw the flat in. Jal Darshan which is located in one of the posh areas of Mumbai..Juhu Beach. So yes 15 Crore is understandable amount for a 3-4 BHK flat in that locality. If I am not wrong that complex houses some of the richest people and Bollywood star Govinda also has a lived there
