Is TCS currently providing wfh option? I had given interview in TCS 3-4 months back and was selected also. But the HR wasn't sure if I will have wfh or wfo.And I wanted wfh only so I left the offer. Now again I received call from TCS and now they are saying it's upon choice if I want wfh or wfo.So confused whether to go for interview or not.Does anyone know if they are providing wfh or wfo by choice? I'm currently at Mumbai location and as per the call from TCS it's on me what to choose. please advise 🙏

lol no. Our community rarely looks out for each other, sadly.
So true and sad
No. Colleagues watch out for all others in the team.
That would depend on you as an individual to build relationships. Probably a you thing.

Some do...while not very overtly but it's hard to get to partner at our firm and there is a mutually acknowledged respect for a brown peer.

Yes. But it's not always true
^^^ this. But also just way more likely to give you that first chance especially if you know someone they know/ respect

Yes they do. You don’t become a powerful community at 1% of the population, by not helping each other out
People look out for people regardless of where they are from, at least where I work
I had an Indian manager who looked out for literally everyone else but me. I’m Pakistani, so maybe that why? He put double the workload on my plate and then terminated me. Meanwhile, a girl year before couldn’t complete her work cause she was studying for the cpa and didn’t care, he sat with her for a week in a room and got everything done.
My personal experience, no they are harder to their own people cause they know they can be

Yes, in my previous job. But I used to work in india back then.😜
I think it doesn’t depend on the nationalities at all. End of the day your friendship and chemistry with the people matters the most.
As Mck1 said, if you are good - usually yes. When I was an associate, I did seek mentorship from another Indian just because it was easier to connect with him and understood my challenges better.

I always try to provide cover to all those who work in my teams - Indian or otherwise.
Had a bad experience with a director who singled me out and treated me horribly due to religious differences, even though we are both of Indian origin. They were based in California though so doesn’t surprise me, given the caste problem there.
