I’m a mid-level associate at a a large law firm. I work in a regulatory practice group that occasionally requires me to work on litigation matters. Unfortunately, I was never really trained on memo writing earlier in my career, and now I’m supervising more junior associates with no idea what I’m doing. I was and am a pretty good writer, but I get bogged down by the importance of citations in the drafting process. Any tips from experienced litigators on how to best to put together initial drafts?

Few months ago I finally found a courage to changed my “about me” section so it would reflect who I am and my culture. I thought diverse talent are appreciated more these days. Unfortunately according to my google analytic, the first click was on “about me” section, then exit. Not even a single click on anything else. I had a lot more traffic on most of my projects when I had ambiguous genaric one. I guess diversity is not as cool as it is being portrayed for hiring. Back to being generic! 🙁
