Hi Fishies! (Is that what we are? I’m going with it)
I just came across a Google Research and Insights role that got me SUPER excited and I was about to apply when I had the idea of seeing if anyone would be willing to give me a referral. I understand (and respect) that most of you Googlers on here feel that a referral is only useful if you know the person but I would be happy to jump on the phone to give you some info about me. It would mean so much! 4 YOE at a major audio steaming service
Solid companies in the EU that hire entry level product managers from an MBA? I have a finance background in a tech start up, and I’m polishing my Python and SQL skills. Visited a few tech companies in Amsterdam (Booking.com, TomTom, etc) and I was wondering if there are any well known opportunities or programs.

Yes. I have plenty of client contacts (Global 100 firm) that started out in firms that I've never heard of.
No. Lots of job postings say “big 4 preferred"
I think that a lot of postings say big 4 experience preferred. You could sell it that you have your big 4 experience already.
Yes mid tier firms have similar exit opportunities but staying until senior manager is probably way too long
All things equal, they’d take a big 4 over someone with pure mid tier experience. I think if you are a high enough performer in mid tier against someone average from big 4 for a non fortune 100 position, you would have an edge on individual merit. But that won’t be your case so you do you, OP. Like EY2 said, you’ve already got your B4 experience
Nobody posts a job stating "small firm experience required"
Your exit opportunities will be limited but that in no way means you can't get some great opportunities. For example, I had interviews at the big investment firms, however, I got beat out by a Big4 person. As well there are Big4 preferred or required such as working for Google.
