Is Deloitte India mandatorily asking 2 days hybrid work from office? or it's complete work from home??
I’m trying to help a friend start a career in the advertising/marketing industry. He’s got a media and production degree, but looking for something entry-level that would give him the opportunity to explore what different departments do.
I was thinking maybe community manager roles would be a good start, but they all seem to be looking for 5+ years.
Any suggestions? Anybody that might be willing to have an informational conversation with him?
Do sponsored candidates ever go into their MBA with intention to do some recruiting and casually explore what else is out there?
Considering applying with sponsorship and returning to consulting but would consider forgoing sponsorship if I could end up at the right place (e.g. select VCs or exciting corp dev role).
Cap billable hours.
I’m struggling coming up with a new title. I am acute care nurse for a statewide health system. I moved up the ranks in nursing, but function on the business side now. Current Title- Strategic Analyst. I report directly to a corporate VP. I analyze profitability, make recommendations on growth and new procedure ideas, prepare proforma’s, run a surgeon gain-sharing program, Leading a $10M system savings project. What would your org call me?

Recently been told I'm favored to be the Associate Director of my domain, but I'm on the fence of getting into that level of management. I was just promoted to Sr level this time around. My manager hinted at some of the downsides and hardships of management without getting into the weeds.
So design managers in the product space, can you give me the good and bad?
Job sharing in professional services is becoming more common. Would it make sense to offer job sharing at the partner level? Benefits a) employee retention (including women 30+ that often choose family over Partner track), b) more available Partner spots which increases retention, c) work life balance, d) 2 vs 1 partner tapping into their network to sell, e) 50% comp but ideally 6 months off. Why wouldn’t it work? Trying to hear different perspectives for and against partner job sharing?
Emotional moment for ISRO Chairman
I have a coworker who constantly misgenders me. Sometimes they apologize and say my proper gender if we're with others, but in private they call me "dude". Should I complain to HR?
It's been 3-4 months since I have been trying to get into a Product Owner/Manager role externally. It seems like everyone wants you to have all the experience before hand without leaving any scope for growth.
Can anyone give me any tips on how to deal with this? I am a Senior Business Analyst and have brilliant experience with good clients to demonstrate my work and abilities.
Does anyone have any experience getting experience verification letter from KPMG for PERM? If so, what is the process? Will HR sign if i send the template listing all the skills or do i need to course it through my PML or my previous colleagues? Thanks!
Maybe a more seasoned attorney can change my mind, but it really seems like a lot of closings would be more smooth and less stressful if they were in-person.
Does anyone know if you could file a non-automatic and an automatic change on the same 3115? I have a situation where a non-automatic change needs to be filed to move items from building to 5 and 15 year property as a result of a cost seg. Also want to do the automatic change from 40 to 30 years ADS for Residential Real Property under 163j. Missed the deadline to file the non-automatic in 2020 and doesn’t make sense to do the 40 to 30 change first.
What would you do if you are in my spot? I have an offer for the consulting firm I wanted to go 3 years ago and pay is 15% higher vs staying where I’m at but I like the culture + I am doing very well

Noob question but: what’s the best way for me to get pre-approved for a mortgage as a first time home buyer? I see a lot of lender options and want to proceed intelligently.
Does advertising allow asshole attitudes? Told my sister how some people at the agency treat others and she was shocked. No one treats others the same way in her line of work. Made me think...

How many of the good comedy scripts w/ budget $100K - $1M are going out to the union Production Co’s versus to freelance directors or to in-house options? I’m a comedy director who was super busy as a freelancer, now that I’ve signed with a prod. co. I’m barely seeing any work after months on the roster. Wondering if I should go back to freelance?

I’m sending out some finished mechanicals tonight and don’t have any more vellum sheets to flap cover them with. I’m worried the waxed type will get dislodged. Any pointers!!!??
Would you take the first job that’s offered to you after being laid off even if it doesn’t excite you and it may not be the right fit? In this economy? Worried that it could be a while until something else comes along.
Copywriters of Vayner Media, what was creative at Vayner like compared to other, more traditional, agencies? What did you work on? Was your experience overall positive or negative,
Lots of friends experiencing mid-20s work questions of the existential kind (why, what, impact, etc) Anyone have a good link of books, ted talks, etc? Anything would help thanks!
98% of the clients we present to are only concerned with anticipating how the people above them are going to react to the creative. Zero thought given to how the audience will react. Sorry...venting.

I want to speak to the manager of this industry.
Why do ppl advise against including a job on your resume if you were only there 6mos or less? That would mean you’d have to lie about how long you were at the place before that or lie about what you’ve done during the time in between. Why not just say it didn’t work out because of XYZ?
Why does the employee have to take the hit b/c an employer lied during the interview process. Or it just ended up not being a great fit. Doesn’t make the employee a flake. Am I missing something?
With so many layoffs and the strange uncertainty of this industry right now—is anyone scared to death?

We would and we do. We do a ton of storytelling work for technology, new economy and cultural brands (think Uber, Reddit, Sephora, ESPN, Nike.) It helps to have work in your portfolio that speaks about today's brands or speaks to today's audiences. And it helps to have an interest in how you can use media platforms as part of your creativity (like Reddit hijacking the Super Bowl or Shopify making a film where everything on screen is shop-able.) As other posters say, tailor your portfolio to the role you want.
OP there are traditional creatives at RGA - I don’t know what “group” they’re in but they’re a minority and work on traditional briefs (that have some digital execution but that’s not the specialty of that specific team)
Also AKQA has clusters of them - just depends on the needs/job postings at that moment
Exactly what RGA1 said! We do and we welcome it (ex. we split many creatives between “stories” / campaign work and “systems” / product and experiential), but it’s always great to hear how you may be interested in exploring less traditional solutions, and sharing some thoughts on how some of your traditional work could extend.
At CD level I suspect they would. But at a place like R/GA you need to know how to map a consumer journey across digital touchpoints as it’s more product centric than it is communications centric. A basic product management course could help with that.
I plan to move to a place like that later in my career
Thanks for the thoughtful reply! Any leads on such a course?
I worked at RGA and didn’t have any digital stuff in my book. All traditional.
Like Creative 1 said, you likely get more grace based on where you worked and/or seniority. However I’d recommend the age-old advice of tailor your book to where you want to work.
I’m currently in digital and interviewed at a creative shop. I had one web design for a big fast food chain to show my more recent work. The CD told me to remove it if my goal was to work at a creative agency.
I expect it works the same if you’re a conceptual creative wanting to get into digital.
Yeah I was recently hired FT there and my book skews way more traditional than digital
