Living and working in ey McLean office?
Forgot to turn on cabin pressure....
I've worked at the same engineering firm for 4 years. I'm currently making $161k with only a $750 bonus, but excellent vacation (4 weeks, cash out anytime, rolls over indefinitely), 45 hours a week. I have an interview with a recruiter at Guidehouse this week for a Technical Project Manager role. It seems to be focused in the government space and requires a security clearance. What sort of salary and benefits could I expect for this sort of role at Guidehouse?

Always at home if not traveling though admittedly I should make a better effort to go to the office more than twice per year.
You go 2x more than me! Of course I live in a different state than where my home office is located, too
I work at home 2-3 days a week for my local project! It's amazing.
Always at home when not traveling because no one from my practice is located in my office.
If there were actual teammates or partners to see then I would go in 1-2x a month.
Been at 4 firms. Not common. Depends on the engagement, the team, your role, and honestly how smooth you are at finessing it.
I wouldn’t say it’s common place..
I typically do. In my opinion it really depends on what practice and team you’re on though
Lol local project but they make me commute 4 hours a day
It’s project based
My SLHE allows it if you request not to travel on retain day(s)
Work from home primarily. Travel to client about once a quarter. Did not work one day out of local office. My client is out of my GR though. Beyond blessed 🙏🏻
Home office...
Always at the office even when not traveling. Wish I had the regular WFH routine perk
Definitely based on the project. I’ve had projects where the entire team wasn’t based in my city and there was simply no need to go into the office
Yeah I WFH every Friday as do most people in my practice unless there’s something worth going into the office for. Trying to get workspace in the office on Fridays is a mess since that’s when all the big events are so the general sentiment is to avoid if you have actual work to do
