Hi fishes, I got offer from both Optum and Amelia(Ipsoft) for data science role. Optum offering 16+2(variable). Amelia offering 24.5 fixed. Will optum increase my pay based on this to which extent. My previous was 13.2 fixed before current hike and promotion which got ineffective due to resign. Suggest me what should I do and some light on the company. YOE: 2 Tech: Data science. I was hired as experience hire in Cyber at the end of 2018 at $72,500. I got my first raise last year to $76,200. Was very salty to learn new campus hires make just as much as me lol. Currently nterviewing with several other companies for a $30k+ raise
I’d imagine they get paid more, but not sure anymore given the economic conditions.
No, this is a trend at Deloitte that has been going on since before the pandemic. It’s also not like it’s just low performers are the ones getting shortchanged, it’s everyone, even high performers.

Yeah sadly that’s how it is. Thinking of leaving Deloitte for that reason.

Sometimes but new hires getting paid more than someone who got a raise is a little more rare. I’ve heard now new Accenture analysts are being paid $82.5k and I recently was promoted from $77.5k to $85k
Yep this 100% happens at my firm too.
Is COL a factor? If the same location, that’s a weird approach that I’d imagine could lead to churn
