Do people expect you to reply when they send you “thank you!”? I always reply you’re welcome or no problem but sometimes I’m slightly worried if they are busy with tons of other important things and when they get a message notification and see my “you’re welcome” they will see that as a waste of their time… and even just liking their thank you would push a notification to them too. But simply ignoring a thank you just seems rude.

I don’t, personally.

You’re overthinking it OP. Just do you. Doesn’t matter either way tbh.

like

I do a mixture of both depending on my mood. It really doesn’t matter. Focus on important stuff like trying to be happy 😬

If I send “thank you” that’s the end of the convo for me. If someone replies with “you’re welcome” I just ignore it. I think it’s a bit annoying. But again, that’s my personal take on it.

like

The conversation should end at “thank you.”

like

I’ve never once replied to a thank you email. Ping sure

If you send it right away it’s good. If you don’t see it till 10 or more minutes later, don’t bother.

like

Don’t sweat it. They won’t even remember by the end of the day. Thank you and you’re welcome won’t prevent you from getting promoted (I hope not lol says a lot about the culture if that’s the case).

like

You’re just like me. Then I learnt to stop over thinking and just said f it. Why do I care? If they’re even slightly irritated, they’ll get over it.

I say no problem if they’re above me and I want them to like me hahahhaha

If “no problem” annoys you, you’re not really thankful, are you? Since it’s their job… Maybe don’t say thanks haha

If you say thank you then you should be concerned if you get an answer. Same would go with asking someone how they are.

EY PAS said that they can’t offer more than 115k for senior associate in Chicago. I find that ridiculously low since accenture t&o is offering people 140k to join as a consultant. It is from my understating that ey associate is equal to analyst and sr analyst at Accenture. Then senior associate is equal to consultant/ sr consultant. What am i missing here?

3) Have you had to align your interviews so that the offers would come in close/same day? What's your strategy?

I am so tired of my sister and mom, and the pressure they apply on me to get married, 32 year old female and I have not met someone yet. I was in a relationship last year for a year and he turned out to be a very mean person and they now don’t trust me at all and want me to marry the first nice guy I go on a date with even if I have no attraction at all, and if I go on a couple of dates and I don’t feel it, they question my judgement. I feel like dying from the pressure.
