My wife doesn’t even know 😉

likefunny

Sometimes I regret telling her 😂

Absolutely. You never know when that information will make its way back to a client or center of influence. Only my husband knows.

Yes. Only person that knows how much I make is my wife. If a relative asks, I just smile.

like

Yes it is , I don’t like to tell people what I make. Only my wife knows how much I make.

Very much private on what I make. I still get annoyed every time they blast my production at Summer Regionals.

I did when talking to non FAs after I crossed 250k. When talking to colleagues; no.

Not something that I discuss with anyone outside of my wife.

I do my own taxes for this reason. I don’t want it getting out how much I make

Yes it is still taboo. A few very good friends have told me what they make but they know better than to ask me and I know better than to tell them

Does anyone tell others about how much money they manage? An approximate income could be inferred

I’m an FA within the bank channel and have made the mistake of leaving my first firm to go to another. bank program that ended up failing and sold our books to another firm. It’s become harder and harder to grow a book now within the bank channel because of Reg BI and it’s going to take me a decade to grow my book to where I want to be. I’m a CFP and finishing up my MBA. I’m thinking of going to another area of Finance all together like PE. Any suggestions for me? NOT looking to go Independent.
