I’ve been poor my entire life and on my own since I was 16. I worked really hard to get to a managment position in a statewide foundation. I’m in a lot of debt from putting myself through college and I feel like no matter how hard I work I can’t get ahead. I think because I’m poor I often ended up getting underpaid because the salaries sounds like a lot of money to me. I found out I’m being paid way below my industry salary range and I just feel like a loser.

I’m a recent graduate of masters and currently have 2 offers in my hand.

1) One with CITI Bank with 100k salary and no sign on bonus and as it is in my home town as I stay with my family needs no relocation bonus required.

2) This is with American Airlines in Dallas Fort Worth which offered 100k + 10k bonus + 18k relocation bonus (required)

Which ofer should I consider given I’m a new graduate and this is going to be my first job. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys currently I'm working in a project with very stringent timelines. Sometimes we need to put more than 13-14 hrs each day. There are 4 members in my team. Two are involved in database prt and me and my lead are involved in the front end and middle layer prt. Somehow my lead is not at all pleased with my work. Advice to young lawyers. Read a book.

I saw the thread about savings and many young lawyers (20s and 30s) don’t know how to open up a brokerage account or invest in their 401k. I know they don’t teach personal finance in school (though they should!), but my advice is that you should go to your local library and read a book about the subject. You have the skills necessary but you must invest in yourself. No one will look out for you.
