Do recommenders need to submit their letters prior to the round deadline? Or once I submit my application, do they receive a link to submit? Confused on how it works.

Interview with thr HR went well and I was told I will be scheduled for an interview with the engineering team. I'm not quite sure what kind of questions to expect from engineering team. If a position for which I had a first round interview has since been put on hold, would it be reasonable to ask for an informational interview with the would-be hiring manager? In my experience, "on hold" has always been synonymous with cancelled. It’s frustrating and I like this particular agency, so I just want to make the most of this. Maybe there are other ways to handle these situations?

How do you handle colleagues (and clients) who constantly portray themselves as “decedents of royalty” of sorts? Obvious overstatements of their family and background to puff up even when unnecessary.

Worst part of consulting is we rarely get to participate in these natural days of unproductivity with the rest of the corporate world because clients still expect you to be on point no matter what’s happening around you. I just wanna sit at my computer anxiously refreshing NYT all day. This is also generally been the case for the entire pandemic.
