Check out Amy Brown (@arb on Twitter) and some of the interviews with her. Wendy’s essential built a lot of their twitter strategy on the fact that one of her brilliant, snarky responses got high engagement.
The Wendy's team did an AMA on Reddit. I know Moonpie had the same path, one great tweet and mgmt was interested in doing more.
An always on social strategy, especially on Twitter. I’m finding it more and more challenging to get brands to invest (and trust) in the value of a Twitter always on strategy, I know these brands are doing an awesome job right now

I love this thread. Moonpie is amazing. I love that all those brands talk to each other. At my previous agency we had a few CPG brands that would have done awesome on Twitter but the process to get approval on a single tweet was like weeks long. I feel like only recently has it become acceptable for brands, even competitors, to engage with each other on social and i want in!
Awesome thanks for the connection! That seems to be the driving force between a lot of the brands killing it on Twitter. It’s just convincing senior clients to take the risk that I’m struggling with. Thanks again!
@OP that’s the thing. An agency didn’t have to convince them, because they handle it internally.
Twitter is a tough platform. Especially with how popular IG is nowadays
