My wife got offer in LTI and she will be 3 months pregnant at that time of joining(oct 10). Need help to understand maternity leave policies in LTI. How many days she need to be in payroll to avail maternity leave.

I don’t want to retire at 65. I’d like to be financially independent around 45-50, so I don’t want money stuck in a 401k. Is it better to save independently and pay full tax on income until 50 or to invest in 401k and then just take the early withdrawal penalty?

Does anyone know if I switched big four firms if my insurance goes to the end of the year and I just have to pick up the premiums or is my health insurance only valid until the last day of the month?

This is a dumb problem - but need advice. I basically went from 78k/yr to 138k/yr in alittle over a year. Combined with my partner's income we've gone from contributing small abouts to a Roth IRA to not being eligible for contribute. Our combined income is 261k.

We're almost debt free except the house note (1257/month) , maxing out out 401k, but we planned on doing a Roth IRA and cant now.

So what are the next steps sense we complete blew over the Roth IRA step.

I am happy about it. I have put in a LOT of work in the last couple of months, but at the expense of my physical and mental health.
