Pwc1 - You are wrong. Within one week from the date of publication of visa bulletin, USCIS will publish on their website whether they will honor application filing date or not.

Yes, you are correct IBM1. I take back my words. It is dependent on what USCIS will say in a week.
Chief
My understanding is you can submit your i485 application for EAD/advance parole using filing date. When you will actually get your green card will still be determined by the final action date.
You will have to wait a few days to find out... PWC1 is wrong, you can't file based on filing dates unless USCIS says so...also it is extremely rare that uscis permits use of filing date, rare but does happen. Cant believe the amount of misinformation out there.
USCIS just published saying, they will only honor the final action date and not filing date..
Yes , so it does seem they will honor the filing dates for Employment based category. Right ?
