Any good recommendations for places to eat in Old Montreal? Not looking for anything in particular, just good food that’s worth venturing out for.
I have some credit card points that I can convert to milage for BA (Avios), FinnAir, Ethiad, Emirates, Qatar, Delta, Singapore, Airfrance/KLM, virgin etc.
If I’m based in london, will Avios be the safest bet? Personally I don’t like BA services so might prefer Middle Eastern carriers, but not sure how good they are for intra-European flights (eg london-rome)

Has anyone made a pivot from data science into another career? I have a passion for data governance and considered upskilling in that space. Perhaps even in analytics engineering. I love data and do enjoy coding but I’m honestly just not loving the direction of machine learning and AI. Can I learn jt? Sure. But I really don’t have a passion for it.

ADVICE NEEDED: I just received a job offer in a new industry. An industry I’ve always wanted to try, but maybe not in the right practice. However, it’s not a bad offer and I’m scared it won’t come again. Do you think I should wait a few months and keep applying until I find a job that I am 100% happy to take without hesitation or does it usually never work that way? Thanks!
This is a diverse group, I’m wondering what your reaction is to this social media post is? I thought it stinks of white privilege, but I am a white guy so maybe I’m projecting. Conscious conversations

God help America.
I was at my prior job for many miserable years, got burnt out, took time off, accepted a new job where I’ve been for 1.5 years now. I’m getting that unhappy and burnout feeling again but I don’t understand why and what needs to change. My work life balance here is good, I actually like most of the people I work with, I have a short commute, a reasonable boss, there’s growth potential and other good things I didn’t have before and may not get elsewhere. Any advice?
It’s Monday! Start the new week like:
What do you do when you feel like your work is not being appreciated? A simple example from a few minutes ago. My manager asked me to upload a document on the drive and proof read it which I did. In the meantime, she was talking to me about a presentation. An hour later she sends me to let her know when it is ready and I answered by saying that it is ready and that she can check it on the drive. Instead of saying thank you, all she said is next time just let me know.
Any tips for managing interruptions and getting work done?
We have a triage week, where I’m supposed to be answering questions in a few slack channels, and doing triage tickets. Basically minor requests like delete this resource, add this metric, etc.
Tickets that don’t fall under an epic are handed over to the triage engineer. I got 3 this week that are to me, a bit too complex given the constant interruptions.
I’m having a hard time switching context every 30mins or so. I feel slow. Help?
